
North Pole at the Museum
Beginning in 2007, the International Museum of Art began a yearly Christmas program for the young people of El Paso. Christmas at the Museum is designed to spark young people’s interest in the arts and bring young people and their families to the Museum for a day of holiday programming rooted in the arts.
North Pole at the Museum kicks off November 27th, 2011 with a coloring contest for students grades K-2nd and a Christmas drawing contest for children, 3rd through 5th grades. The Christmas drawing contest will be the imagination of the child. It could be a dream Christmas or just a memory. All art work will be judged by noted El Paso Artists, December 1st. Winning Contestants will be notified December 2 nd, by phone.
This year’s Opening Reception for "NORTH POLE AT THE MUSEUM" will take place, December 4th, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with over 100 Christmas decorations for the children to take their family pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, who will be at the International Museum of Art.
All 1st and 2nd place winners will receive a prize. All art work, coloring page & “Christmas Imagination” must be brought to the Museum by Wednesday, November 30th by 4:00 p.m. All teachers in El Paso and the regional area, K-5 are welcome for their class to enter. We invite all children in the community, K-5 to participate.

Coloring Contest
North Pole at the Museum kicks off with a coloring contest for students in grades K-2nd grade and a drawing contest "Christmas Imagination," 3rd grade through 5th.
The drawing contest will focus on Christmas or a winter scene. It can either be a memory or a wish.
